High Country Film Festival

A film festival based in the Blue Ridge Mountains curated by Appalachian State University students, the High Country Film Festival is an independent, student-driven endeavor designed to inspire young filmmakers to pursue their passions.

Tater Hill Productions and the Appalachian State Film Club

Founded in the Fall of 2014, Appalachian Film Club is a student-run organization at Appalachian State University that strives to provides students with opportunities for filmmaking, regardless of prior experience. Events are planned and duties delegated with an equal emphasis on teaching technical skill and familiarizing students with the creative processes that go into making a film. Tater Hill Productions, established in September of 2015, is the official production name for pieces done through Appalachian Film Club. Though a new entity, Appalachian Film Club/Tater Hill Productions is filled with ambitious, eager minds ready to take on as much as needed to make a name for themselves.
